On Tuesday 12th May the UK’s Government announced that estate agents could now resume work in England.
At Hamilton Chess our agents were keen to resume with regular activities such as carrying out viewings and market appraisals only once we had taken steps to ensure we had procedures in place and basic PPE for our staff.
Our first priority in recommencing these activities will of course be the safety of our staff, clients and the general public, as guided by Government advice on home moving during the corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak. We had been anticipating throughout the lock down period how we can adjust our usual working practices to embrace social distancing measures, and whilst our new processes may be a little strange at first, we are confident that everyone will adapt quickly to the new norm, allowing us to provide the best client service to our vendors and landlords.
When you instruct us moving forwards, we will provide you with the latest guidance - informed by the Government, Public Health England and our internal health & safety procedures - to ensure that all aspects of the selling or letting of your property are handled in the safest way possible. This may include:
- Maintaining social distance of at least 2 metres
- Vacating the premises at least 15 minutes prior to a viewing to minimise any unnecessary exposure
- To avoid unnecessary handling of property brochures these will only be sent as PDF's
- Checking with all parties that there are no symptoms of Covid-19 prior to appointments
Our agents are committed to making this transition as easy as possible for you.
We now have greater freedom to undertake market appraisals and with the above measures in place we will be very pleased to inspect properties and to offer our best advice on sales and lettings to help you to plan the way forward.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team to find out what we can do for you whether you are selling, buying, or renting.
